ANAA and the Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival are always looking at ways to expand our offering of services and events to artists and the public. We hope to provide opportunities for young Native artists, and members of the community, to learn about our work and to contribute to Native artist community.

Digital Content Marketing (Paid-Intern)

Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc. (ANAA) seeks an individual interested in gaining digital content marketing experience or applying digital media understanding to our online promotional efforts. The individual will use various content marketing skill sets, such as promoting the Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival through visual images and text,
funneling the audience journey, linking content to strategy, and tracking relevant audience data.

Interns interact with ANAA Group Members, Artists, Museum Personnel, State and Town Officials, College Representatives, and others through respectful communication. The National Indian Youth Council, Inc. provides this paid internship position through their Work Experience Program. ANAA is considered an internship worksite in the Town of Bernalillo, NM. This opportunity is open to individuals 18 years old and older.

Duties

  • Assist with ANAA’s online content creation
  • Post content online and to social media platforms (Website, Facebook, etc.)
  • Assist with monitoring performance metrics and insights from online platforms
  • Support audience engagement and monitor brand consistency across platforms
  • Assist with collecting and utilizing digital images provided by ANAA Artists
  • Ability to commute and occasional remote work allowed

Pay

  • ANAA Internship Duration: 5 Months from NIYC approval
  • Job Type: Part-time at 18 Hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (6 Hours per day)
  • Pay Rate: $12.00 per Hour
  • Tools: Organization laptop and online/social media platform access provided
  • Worksite: ANAA Office, ANAA Office, 845 South Hill Road, Bernalillo, NM 87004 (Off of I-25, Exit 240, 1st right onto South Hill Road)

Event Management (Paid-Intern)

Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc. (ANAA) seeks an individual interested in gaining experience coordinating indoor/outdoor events or applying event planning knowledge that helps to produce the Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival. The individual will use various event management skill sets, such as conceptualizing an event that fits the community, coordinating event logistics, planning work assignments, and monitoring vendor relationships.

Interns interact with ANAA Group Members, Artists, Museum Personnel, State and Town Officials, College Representatives, and others through respectful communication. The National Indian Youth Council, Inc. provides this paid internship position through their Work Experience Program. ANAA is considered an internship worksite in the Town of Bernalillo, NM. This opportunity is open to individuals 18 years old and older.

Duties

Assist with managing Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival

Utilize contact management software (Mailchimp, Excel, etc.)

Assist with reviewing maps and facility schematics

Assist with organizing contracts and agreement timelines

Interact with various Town of Bernalillo officials

Ability to commute and occasional remote work allowed

Accounting (Paid-Intern)

Authentic Native Arts Association, Inc. (ANAA) seeks an individual interested in gaining experience with accounting or applying business math for the Bernalillo Indian Arts Festival. The individual will use various accounting skill sets, such as analyzing raw financial data, applying generally accepted accounting principles, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Interns interact with ANAA Group Members, Artists, Museum Personnel, State and Town Officials, College Representatives, and others through respectful communication. The National Indian Youth Council, Inc. provides this paid internship position through their Work Experience Program. ANAA is considered an internship worksite in the Town of Bernalillo, NM. This opportunity is open to individuals 18 years old and older.

Duties

  • Assist with analyzing ANAA’s financial position
  • Enter data accurately into bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.)
  • Assist with collecting invoices
  • Assist with processing artist payments
  • Assist compiling and preparing financial reports
  • Ability to commute and occasional remote work allowed
  • Worksite: ANAA Office, 290 E. Avenida, Bernalillo, NM 87004 (Off of I-25, Exit 240)

Pay

  • ANAA Internship Duration: 5 Months from NIYC approval
  • Job Type: Part-time at 18 Hours per week
